HELP with broken rear brake lines

Well, I did it again. While trying to fix something simple (the flexible rear brake hoses) I screwed something up. While trying to undo the flexible hose from the solid brake line, I somehow managed to twist the entire fitting off the solid line, and now there's a leak.

So I'm looking for some options. Do I have to replace the entire solid line? Or can I have someone simply put a new fitting on the line? I know there are brake fitting flare kits out there, but I don't have one, don't want one, and don't know how to use one!

Suggestions please!

Hi, Just thought I'd pass on some information I just picked up a few weeks ago from my dad's friend.

That short piece of steel break line has an ISO flare (ISO flare) at the "control box", but where it meets the rubber hose it should be SAE flare (double flare).

I just made some ISO flares on break line and although it was only one operation, it was a pain. The SAE flaring kit requires two operations, but I believe it's easier.

I'd suggest buying a piece of brake line long enough to fit the job with ISO flares (they come up to 5 feet) . Cut off one end, slide on the old fittings, bend the right contour in it (tubing benders are great), using an SAE (double) flaring kit flare the end that will meet the rubber hose, install.
