Hey all,

I'm bringing a 29 back from the dead, it has a siezed engine and I am replacing it with the engine from my rusty SHOwagon. Anyway, I am pulling it in November and I need a clitch. I need reliable. I will be shipping this car to Belgium on a 3 year tour with uncle Sam - I do not ant to be f****ing around with pulling the motor in Europe. WHat should I get? My buddy has a friction plate for me and wants me to get e yellpw pressure plate with ceramic TOB 0 that's ober $400 - do I need to go to that extreme?

BTW, not a track car - it'll be a street car that I may get on once in a while.

So stock clutch, stock throw out bearing = three years of trouble free motoring? My buddy swears by th ceramic throw out bearings.

The ceramic will save the fingers of your pressure plate in the long run , if you plan to keep it , its worth it.

Stock Valeo with stock throw out bearing lasted 102,000 miles in my 93.

Put the stock clutch in with the ceramic T/O bearing, you should be fine unless you plan on driving a lot more miles than you'd be able to in three years!

Valeo Clutch Kit or Luk Repset. Where are you seeing these 100 dollar prices at?

My track car uses a LuK stock replacement clutch. It holds up great. Cost me 230 Dollars. You'll need the 9.75'' Kit, NOT the 9.25''.

I saw LuK and brute clutches for 199 plus 30 for shipping (and up), I saw a valeo for 330 plus shipping.
