You didn't do something silly like install the Pressure Plate 180* out of phase, which would causing the locating pins to space the pressure plate instead of... well... locate, did you?

Just a thought...

Unfortunatley, this is becoming a more frequent problem with the Clutchmasters kits. IIRC, the remanufactured pressure plate included in your kit is out of spec. Hopefully Fred will chime in here with more details since he has first-hand experience with it. You could also try searching the forum for "clutchmasters" as I seem to recall a few discussions about this.

In any case, it will need to come out again. Sorry.

What problem is this Chris? We've sold hundreds of these kits and have not had a single complaint as of yet installation or otherwise. Are people putting them in wrong?

Mike, I can't specifically recall the exact problem but vaguely seem to remember it being a problem with pressure plates. Fred had at least one, and maybe two, that after install went nowhere. There was another mentioned on either the forum or one of the email lists about a week or so ago, and I seem to recall at least two or three occasions in the past year, plus this one. All had the same symptoms: brand new CM clutch installed (OE equiv.) but no power to the wheels.

Again, I'm hoping Fred will chime in here and prove I'm not hallucinating (anymore).

Did you wipe the oil off of the pressure plate and flywheel with laquer thinner before you put it all together?
