This sucks! My 91 SHO has been acting real weird the past month or so in that, whenever the car is warmed up, it doesnt want to start after its been shut off. What used to work is, I would put the E-brake down and pull the release lever as I turn the key, and somehow miraculously it would usually start that way. I therefore figured that it was my neutral safety switch that is right above the clutch pedal. So today, I go to try to start the car and it wont work even if I do the E-Brake trick. So I took out the NSS, jumpered the connector, still wont start! I ran the codes and got a code 14: "PIP circuit failure. Suspect PIP sensor or TFI module, or grounding or interference problems at the TFI module"
and code 66: "MAF sensor input is less than minimum voltage."
The code 14 has come up before so I dont see why that would be the problem and the car should start even without the MAF so why would the second code be the problem? I dont know what to do!

You must be more specific. Do you mean that the engine doesn't crank or turn over at all? The clutch switch would only affect that. Other possibilities are dead battery, bad battery connection, bad starter relay and bad starter.

Do you mean that the engine spins, but doesn't fire? That could either be fuel or spark. The code 14 says that you have a failing crankshaft position sensor. That would prevent the spark.

Is the fuel pump running when the key is turned to ON? If not, that could be the Integrated Control Module above the radiator or the fuel pump itself.

You need to provide more information to get an informed response.

Time for a crankshaft sensor. Especially if it's after it's warmed up. I know it turns over cause it was at my house. :p You know off the top of my head, maybe your ebrake cable seized and was holding that caliper shut? I know you don't drive that car much. Maybe something to look at.

Ok, out of nowhere the car just up and started! That was weird as ****(thats how I got to Mikeys house). But anyway, Scott the car acts like the clutch isnt put in when you try to start it when it wont start. Fuel pump comes on, idiot lights, all that but you turn the key and nothing. Like I said though, for some reason it finally started yesterday just out of nowhere and has been starting fine ever since! Its possessed!

Sounds like the clutch switch has been acting up. That could explain why the physical shock of releasing the e-brake would cuse it to make contact.

You might get lucky if you reach under the dash to the top of the clutch pedal and reseat the connector on the switch. There might be corrosion in the connector's contacts.

The PIP code does point to a different problem. Like a CPS in your future.
