Okay SHOForum members, non-members and anyone else who gives a d@#$. I have my Brother-in-laws 95 3.2 SHO in my garage and I'm thirty seconds from setting fire to it, PLEASE HELP ME.

Two weeks ago he brought the car to me because it was running very poorly if at all, the attempt to drive it to me failed, towed it in and dropped it off. I completed a tune-up, replacing plugs, wires(in the correct order, checked several times) valve cover and plug galley gaskets, and also intake gaskets. Reassembled and nothing, cranks but no start. Checked fuel pressure at the schrader valve, I don't remember the exact psi but it was in order with what I have read on here for good pressure. I checked and rechecked for a loose connection, bad ground etc. came up with nothing. Next I found your SHOForum and began to educate myself on the 3.2. removed and tested the TPS, okay. Also the ECM, okay. Then I found info on the CPS. WOW was I dreading this work. So I tore the front apart, dredged my way to the CPS and removed it, had it tested, voila, bad.
Here comes the good part. During disassembly I noticed that while rotating the dampner the timing belt was not moving right away. Tore into it further and found the camshaft sprocket worn very badly, section where the keyway goes was about half and inch or more wide and the key nearly gone. So I purchased a sprocket off of eBay, bought a new CPS, timing belt, water pump and key. I just put everything back toghether, started it with the front still apart, in case other issues suddenly appeared. The engine started, ran very sluggish, almost no power, so I shut it off and rechecked my timing belt install. The belt I have has FOUR marks on it. one for each of the cam gears and two at the crank sprocket, right next to each other. I compared it to the old belt and used the mark that lined up withthe old belt marks when I reassembled AGAIN.
The same thing with the engine again, very sluggish, no power. So I finished putting it back together. Started and drove it but it will not get out of its own way, won't idle, won't rev above 4k and I am at my wits end. The check engine light is now on, in the morning I intend to take it to Autozone to get codes. Do any of you have any clues as to what could be my issue. The car has been running okay over the last few months and progressivly getting worse as to the symptoms described in most of the CPS cases. I feel I have checked all of the obvious items, PLEASE HELP

Thanks for your time.

The automatic will not rev past 4k rpms when in park or neutral.

That SHO had/has crank cancer. You can read more about it on www.shotimes.com and I don't know you can call it fixed by replacing only the sproket and key, there might be damage on the crank. However, you might be able to weld the key in place or something.

To check your codes, all you need is a paperclip and count the flashes.

I realize that the engine will not rev above 4k when in park or neutral. what terminal locations should the paperclip go into for the code check?

This is the correct plug wire order. Make sure you double check it!
