Mmm, the sun is shining, the wind is blowing, lets open the sun roof.....where did the button go? :laugh_ti:

I got the panel pulled off but I have no idea how to get the button to stay out, or how to make it so that it won't happen again. Has anyone had this problem before? Can you guys help me with it? Thanks. PM or a reply here is fine. Thanks.

the way the switch mounts in the Taurus is not robust, and will often fail. Also, the switch itself will often quit working (which sometimes leads to pressing ******* the switch, which causes the mount to give way.) The Ford Contour sunroof switch is more robust and can be mounted more securely.

to remove the cover, you mean? at the pivot end, the light switch cover/lense snaps over the pivot. carefully take a small flat screwdriver and pry down on that end of the switch cover/lense and it will pop off. you may have to do the front side and rear side separately as there is a snap at each side.
