Help! Need to know what's this part. Asap, very urgent!

Hi,
can somebody please tell me what's that is?
It broke on me yesterday. I'm losing brake fuild be that spot.
I need help ASAP. I need my car today....
This part is located in the left side of the engine bay, rear, close to the master cylinder. Mounted pretty much behind the strut. Picture was taken from under, beside the subframe and the transmission.

That is a clamping/junction of your brake lines. It's no longer available from Ford so it's off to the junkyards for you. If it's just the brakeline that's leaking a good mechanic can bend you up a new one pretty easily.

Looking at that pic, if one is leaking, you might be better off looking into replacing them all.

Yeah it is the brake line octopus(what some call it) cluster. I just went through this problem not long ago. No aftermarket company ever made the part and I think ford wanted $1000 when the part was available. You will either need to go to the junkyard to get the part, or get it from someone off here. The good news is that this part is on all taurii and not SHO specific. You can get one from any gen 2 and I think the gen1 will fit.(I have the gen 2 part in my gen 1 and it fit) I know it will work from any taurus, but I can't remember if it will work from a sable although it may.

By the looks of the picture, you should replace even the lines that arn't leaking because they look really rusty and they could go any time as well. Those 3 lines in the bottem of the picture that go throughout the car, 1 goes from that block thing to the right front caliper, and the other 2 run back to the rear bias block for the rear calipers.

If you go to post number 7 is this thread That is the picture of the part that will need replacing.

On the picture I see many lines connected to it. The bottom ones can be removed from the block. But can a brake line be reattach (if I cut the line to pull that block out) or do I need to remove all those lines and replace them all ?
I found one, so I'll go pull it tomorrow morning.

Those bottem lines can be removed from the block, be VERY VERY careful when removing them or they could snap. When I tried removing one of them, it snapped and I ended up getting new lines put on. I recommend flare nut wrenchs because there made for brake line fittings and you can get a better grip. If you cut a line, it can be reflared but it may be difficult in that space. You may have to remove the line to reflare it. The lines I believe can be seperated from the block but it is probabl better to leave them in. If you don't replace those lines in the bottem of the picture now, I would do it as soon as you can. They look really rusty and could go bad at any time. The line is my car didn't look nearly as bad, yet it still went.

Yeah they will get replaced. I towed the car to a garage, because I dont have tools to make brake lines. And the 3 on the bottom side didn't snapped. However, the one that was leaking snapped like 1mm after the block... So I've got to change it all. I will replace those lines to. they are too much rusted.

It's better to take care of the problem now then to suddenly lose your brakes in traffic.
