yeah... ive heard that you can actually do more harm than good when welding it if you dont know what youre doing... like the metal becomes weaker because of the welding... idk its worth a try if it works... you'll need another one if it doesnt anyways...

edit: yeah you can put a plate, but make sure it stays clear of all the other stuff and if youre welding it off the car make sure you can get it to line up and fit correctly... i have an arc welder if you need one

Have an experenced welder do it. No worries about welds breaking.

thats kinda what i was thinking too... i should go to one of those... theres a ton in Ocono, but im not sure on how many SHOs they have... im in need of a 94-95 alternator... just to get the car running when im finished goofing around with the tranny, but i think my chances of a 94-95 MTX with a semi good alternator being in a j-yard is slim to none, autozone here i come...

im not 100% on this but im pretty sure that if you weld it its just a really firm motor mount, the rubber is there to "dampen" the load, whereas if you weld it, its just a solid mount, if youre strapped on cash its the cheapest, easiest way to go and it should last for a little...

just remember there is always a trade off when you try to save money by avoiding replacment...

lol yeah i think im gunna buy a new one instead of weld it but i hope i can find a decent used one cuz 180 bucks on a mount sux!!!! lol i would also think that u want some play in the transmission/motor... lol so it doesnt have so much wear on those parts and i dont wanna put anymore where on my tranny cuz of that clutch lol its already gunna take a beating... and then dan you know norris did drive that car... lol i need to get this started to go back in so i need to make my mind up real soon lol i want my car done by next friday to go to hwy!!! lol i hope it happens
