I have a 94 SHO ATX. Lately it has been cutting off on me, when i come to a stop, it feels like it is suffocating, and then it dies. I sent it into the shop last week to get the tranny rebuilt, well i got it back today, and its even worse, within 2 hours, it has cut off 3-4 times! Also, when i got it back, i noticed my rev limited for park and neutral was gone. The ATX shos have a stock rev limiter for park and neutral set at 4K RPM. Well now it is gone. Can someone please try to help me figure out why my limiter is gone, and why it is cutting off?? PLEASE HELP!

Back in Michigan ... again.
Have you tried running codes? Do you get a check engine light? You could have any number of issues with the symptoms you've described, hard to narrow it down without some codes

I can almost promise you that the 02 sensors are bad because thats the same problem i had on my 95 SHO,and i have had the same problem on a grand prix i use to own as well.Run the codes first before you go buying any parts though.

There are links in my signature to two sites which have instructions on how to read the codes yourself, with something as simple as a paperclip or short piece of wire.

Run the KOEO and KOER tests and see what codes return. Don't go replacing parts until you identify the responsible culprits.

I suspect your stalling problem when stopping is probably a faulty IAC valve. If you no longer have a park/neutral rev limiter since the tranny rebuild, I would suspect either a faulty MLP sensor on the tranny, or your shift cable wasn't installed properly. That's the type of thing that you should promptly return to the shop that rebuilt the tranny for resolution.
