My paint is 98% perfect except, up close you can see very, very fine scratches from washing and improper what-not. I have clay-barred the car, hand polished and waxed. I really do enjoy waxing by hand but I want to polish out all the fine scratches and light swirls I've been seeing. Help, what do I need to do?

I have a Sears buffer/grinder dealybob and a random orbital buffer. What kind of pads do I need to buy in order to cut the paint to get rid of the swirls? Also what pads do I need to get in order to machine wax the car?

A little help, please!?

Ok ill see if i can help u out i have a rotary which is very hard for inexperianced people but use your orbitall buffer with 9-10 pads use one pad to put the wax or chemical on and the other one to remove it. i have a rotary so what i will be doing is there are certian cutting and polishing pads i bought a new cutting pad which will cut the oxidation etc etc but rotary buffers will burn ur paint if u hold in one spot to long i burned my paint a few times before and it aint pretty! so good luck if u have any other questions post here pm me! there is also a very good forum section on detailing at taurus car club i go there from time to time!

Thanks, I just picked up a polishing pad for my craftsman and some fine cut cleaner and a glaze. I will hand wax the car.
