i need the specs on a motor mount bolt for a 92' with a 3.0. the front motor mount bolt, as my car is sitting on jacks right now. damn weekend projects. i figure i can get a grade 8 bolt at home depot rather than buying a whole new mount. please help ASAP. thanks.

I dont think new mounts come with the bolt... I would suggest using the home depot bolt as a temp however. The OEM bolts have some flare to them that makes them difficult to replicate.

I believe that it is a metric 10mm bolt. You should bring in the old one to the store to verify size.

i need to know the threading an length and so on. nope didn't or my buddy who actually owns the car. he doesn't like computers, kinda like the monkey on the movie 2000? that hits the computer with bone. you'll probably be seeing me asking numerous questions here if i can't find it in the search. thanks.

That's why the forum exists... Everyone needs help, and most of the people here know alot about these cars. Is the mount broken, is the bolt just gone? I've reinforced mounts, and from what a couple of guys have told me, I made a better mount thatn SHOnut Performance, and it cost me a whopping $1 and some change... If you can't buy OEM bolts, here's trick. Find a boneyard with a SHO... Check any car you can find for a scissor jack or any kind of jack, if you can't take one in with you. Lift the motor a tad, and yank the bolt. Leave at least one to hold the motor up properly though. I know in my area, the boneyard I go to doesn't charge me for a handful. What ever I can fit in my right hand I don't pay for. It's kind of a hook-up I get for going so often. I got a complete intake manifold for free, cause I held it up one handed... I had all the bolts in my hand underneath it, but I had to pay for the valve covers. I could have put them on top of the manifold, but he wouldn't let me. Ah well. Check out local boneyards for a SHO and pick that sucker clean. I'm sure if you post in the Wanted to Buy forum someone has some.
