my heater hose on my 93 ATX blew. it's the hose that hooks up to the passenger side of heater core tube to the steel pipe. looks like the heater hose inlet is smaller then the pipe. I bought a replacement hose. I can slip it on the heater core but it's too small for that pipe. the factory # on the original hose looks like F3DH-18D335-AA. Am I right about the hose having 2 different diameters on each end? what do I do now?

cap it off, invest in a parka :). check shosource and buy their silicone hoses, you'll never need another set. they're supposed to be lifetime.

or go online to rockauto or napa.

I bought a new hose. the pipe is 3/4 and the heater core is 5/8. must be a special hose. I called Ford but of course it was discontinued. I put the 3/4 hose on and clamped it down real tight onto the heater core connection. so far no leak. I hope it holds. anyone else come across this?

The last time I bought new heater core hoses, I had to get one at Napa and one at Checkers. iirc, Napa had the one w/ 3/4 on one end and 5/8 on the other.
