yesterday, my 95 MTX wouldn't start ... seamed like it was trying, but just wouldn't stay running. This also happened a couple weeks ago, but finally she fired up This morning I checked the KOEO codes. I got 116, 114 and 542. The stored codes were 211 and 542.
I seams like it's not getting gas, but not sure if it's power to the pump or not.

I went out and checked it out again. Checked that ground strap and unplugged the DIS harnesses and replugged them.I dont think there's any fuel pres.I pushed that stem on the schrader valve and no fuel came out. It tries to start on starting fluid , which eliminates ignition. Isn't there any fuses for the fuel pump? I didn't see any. And the owner's manual doesn't list one.
I guess I'll cut the back seat panel out and put one in.

There is an inertia cutoff switch in the trunk. Check that. It's on the fenderwell with the bright red button. Make sure it's pushed in. The sh. valve on my GenI used to get plugged up all the time and I couldn't get a good fuel pr. reading. If you turn your key to the 'on' position without engaging the starter, can you hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds?

Oh ya ... I checked that ... the button was in. Thanks for responding.
I called the local auto parts and they have a pump for $63.00. I wish I had time to shop around and get a good one. I read somewhere they used a better pump in the 95 MTX than they did in the ATX.
I'm pretty sure it's the pump.
You know what's funny is that I never could here the pump the whole time I owned the car. I tried to listen for it a few times.

well code 211 means that your CPS is on its way out, or already shot. it will cause a no start situation, and stalling. the 542 is usually just a stored code that is added everytime the car stalls...due to the CPS...

one easy way to check if your fuel pump is still alive (cant tell how well its really working, but just a quick idea if it is trying to do it's part), you first turn your key to the on position, before starting, listen for the fuel pump to kick on, and then off. as they get up in age they generally get a lil bit louder...
