Why do you want to remove the nylon line from the metal fitting? Is it your intention to replace all of the nylon part?

I removed the Nylon from the Metal fitting because of where the holes in the Nylon fuel line was. I didn't have enough room to use a Repair kit before the Fuel Line started curving way up to head in to the engine bay. FWIW, I used an Exacto knife to cut the line enough to pull it off.

So, I went and bought some new 3/8'' Nylon line so I can go from the engine bay down to where the whole was chewed to. I'm cutting off to where after the whole was chewed and connecting it with a 3/8'' Nylon Line Union. Should do the trick. Thanks for everyone's help. This whole thing caught me off guard.

Once I got the Line off I saw teeth mark all around that area. Whatever it was hopefully died. :)

Okay, gotcha. That makes sense. I just wanted to make sure I was understanding you correctly, because everyone else seemed to be answering a totally different question. :)

Glad you got it worked out. Sounds like a good plan to me.

That is really surprising that something would have kept chewing after the first bite. I suspect there's either a very flammable varmint carcass, or a very flammable nest somewhere nearby. :biggrin:

Hopefully! Got the old lines off...New ones are going on...Kind of. It's a real pain slipping those new lines on to the metal Union at the engine....I went at it for the last 30 minutes but could not get them go any further...Don't know...

Also...I bought a 3/8th's union...to go in to a 3/8th's line...D'oh! Got to return those for a 5/16th's Nylon line unions tomorrow.

Well, Got it mostly back together. The Nylon lines are on union at the Metal fuel lines as far as I can possibly get them (Where round thing between the Nylon and Metal line against near the intake). I boiled the lines in hot water and it helped but I can not get them to go any Further up. They are still VERY Close to being there. I started the car and no leaks, I think they are ok. However, Just to be safe I'm going to buy some little hose clamps JUST IN CASE.

Now underneath the car where I connected the new line to the Old one with a Union is a different story. Both lines are far on to the Union but not all the way on so to speak They did not leak when I started the car). I'm going to try and work with those but they seem to be a little more difficult Once I get those on as far as I can go, I'll again use hose clamps.

not sure what kinda parts you got, but whenever I had to do repairs on the plastic lines I used a barbed union, a heat gun, and special crimp on clamps (like the one below)

The heat gun allows the plastic to expand / flex enough to cram it entirely on the barbed union. The clamps have a special crimp tool your supposed to use, but side cutters will also work if your careful.

Gear clamps are not advised for use on fuel lines because they cut into the line.
