First (& definitely not the last) forum post. In late 2018, after a brief test drive, I bought an Autotrader listed 2010 w 63k miles in South-port NJ (anybody 'we' know?). Fascinating car! And my new need for FoMoCo S.H.O. knowledge landed me here.
I'm initially looking for 6F55 & PTU info to back-up the dealer work it needs. I'll splay-out those details in Gen 4 rooms, so catch me there if you please. All else with 'The Ultimate Sleeper' seems nominal & it's still in very good overall condition (knock on Formica).
I'm not here for mods. I have a need to know, bc latent indications are there's no shortage of after-market kit in my upper engine bay & perhaps elsewhere already (see pics, hood graphic, exterior plastic partial-clear-coat, hole in dash next to trunk button, engine bay oddities to numerous for here, existing PTU is not original). Little doubt, I'll be found savaging or swapping for stock parts, bc what-ever existing mods I have will likely be coming off, & up for grabs soon.
I would like my SHO not to dwell any nearer the edge of the standard operating parameters set forth by the Mother Ship than need be. It's also my first 'smart' car. So presently, & in the foreseeable future, I am to preoccupied with novelties (like 'MyTouch' & flappy-paddles), re-learning new-basics & not breaking stuff to deal with optional extremes on-top-of the wickedly configured & deployed OEM extremes. Just saying...
