I just installed a pair of Hella FF75 driving lights in my 1993 SHO mtx, to replace the pathetic stock units.

The Hella's installed easily onto my existing wiring harness, and work super!

I had to get a little creative with the mounting, since the Hella bracket is different than the stock bracket, but it was fairly easy.

They were $59.99 for the pair at Advance Auto Parts (used to be Western Auto).

They are MUCH better than the cheap Pilot stuff, and have a clear lens and use a larger H7 ** Halogen bulb, as compared to the smaller bulbs in the Pilot stuff.

I'm happy, anyone else have the FF75 Hella's on their SHO?

thanks
Jason

I also have the Hella FF75s on my SHO. I've had them for about 6 months now and am very satisfied, they do a better job of throwing light down the road then the headlights do.

So Pilots are cheap? Darn, because I just got some, they are coming in the mail. What's the differece in the H7 bulb vs. the H3? Is the H7 brighter?

Dude the Pilot ones are fine. They work ESPECIALLY well and I mean VERY VERY well when you put PIAA bulbs in them.

Jason,
I also just recently bought a pair of Hella FF75 Driving lights, and haven't yet installed them. I was wondering how you installed them since the mounting bracket is different. Any help is greatly apprecated.

Do you mean the Blazer Tech ones that a bunch of us got off eBay? Or different Blazer ones?

How do these Hella lights compare with the Blazer Tech ones?? One of my Blazer driving lights is already cracked, so I'm wondering if I should replace it with another one or get something different. Thanks.

I just got blazer's the other day.

I'm waiting to get my bumper resprayed after a little fender bender with the girlfriend (long story), but if there is a better set of pilot's that mount as easy as the blazer's i'd like to know the model number so I could go and take a look at them.

If you are talking about using the factory brackets, the I wasn't able to utilize them with my new pilots. I had to actually use some epoxy to hold them on, cause they kept falling off. For ease of installation I would go with blazers, for Lighting performace I would go with Pilot/Hella/PIAA.
