The hot water tubes that go from the engine to the heater core have corroded and are begening to leak. I seem to remember someone on these boards finding part numbers and availability for these parts on Rockauto.com

Can anybody retrieve these part numbers or help me figure out if/how to get new ones.

Are you talking about the metal portion or the rubber portion. These were made only by Ford and are no longer available. You can cut the crimp that connects the metal tube to the rubber hose and replace the rubber hose, with two hose clamps and be on your way. When I redid mine, I pulled the metal tubes, stripped them, primered them and painted them so that they would last for a nice long time with the fresh hoses.

If your metal tubes are gone your best bet is a parts car...or a j yard to get good tubes. Then clean them up, paint them and install them.

is there a point to the metal tubes???

Cause i removed mine... just ran 5/8'' heater hose line, and cut the EATC temp sensor out and spliced it into the 5/8'' hose.... havent had any problems...

Are you suggesting that Ford did something without a purpose?

It seems that the tubes keep to themselves. Meaning that a hose could move around where these tubes are located, possibly touch wiring, or rest against the head maybe and burn a hole through.....and it is a better idea to have a stationary metal tube.

gotcha.
as i do think a stationary hard line is a better concept, i would have to dissagree that a heater hose could cause any problems. My setup takes up less space and is not "wrapped" around as much stuff as the hard lines are.
not trying to argue with you Doug. Its just i have had more problems with those hard/soft lines leaking than i have with my new setup. (as do many others have the same problem with the hard lines leaking or the hose on them leaking as well)

I have a pic of it installed.. (not so good pic..) that was on the 93'... however, i had some leaks on the 91 that i fixed last night. on of which was on the hard line. (the other was the hose from the Tstat to the ECt housing) I also, did this on the 91.

This has been suggested to me in the past, I just thought while I'm restoring my low mile 95 mtx I'd try to go back with a new part there.
Thanx

Whatever works for ya Josh, I'm sure that the hose will work just fine. My 183k Cali ATX, doesn't know what rust is - so when I had it apart I put new rubber on my hardlines and primered them, repainted them, and clearcoated them. They certainly don't look 10 years old. I like my SHO to look / be factory.....But, whatever is easiest for you and works.
