I have a cutout on my exhaust, and every once in a while, I like to take it off and ride around town with it.

My problem: there is an exhaust bracket (With the rubber thing) holding it on directly outside of the cutout hole.

How much heat can the rubber thing take?

After re reading your question, i'm gonna have to say that you won't heat that rubber mount up hot enough for it to snap during normal/spirited driving. There is more than likely enough air flow under your car to prevent too much exhaust from hitting it.

Just don't stand on the loud pedal while not moving.
