heat doesnt work?!!!!!

it's COLD now in Michigan!!!

and my heat doesnt work?
I am getting my radiator flushed and filled, will this ahve an affect on it?
The t-stat? what could it be that needs to be fixed. I turn it on, and nothing happens, NO heat. I got the car from florida,so maybe the heat has never been needed in the cars lifetime. So, whats up? what could be wrong? I know this isnt really specific, but I need some help. Thanx guys

First off check your fluid in the radiator and the reserve tank. If its low you'll have no heat. Make sure that there is coolant in there. OMG at 0° from last night, you better have coolant. Could be the t-stat but that's rather hard to check out without removing it. After that...the heater core....no fun job there.

I just went into a long winded spiel not more than 48 hours ago on what is needed to have heat in a car. Check for it!

Come May and June, these questions will all be "No AC! and it's getting Hot here!"

Above all please, please, please run the EATC diagnostics and check the fuses, particularly number 17. It could be something very simple.

hey, i ran the codes and it came back 888 and then I checked the fuses and #6 was blown, changed it, and VOILA!!! it works!!!

SOOOO SIMPLE, i feel dumb, but hey it works. Thanx everyone for your help. wink

hey.....uuuuummmm....more bad news.

It only blows out of the top of the dash (windsheild defroster)

is this because the vents dont open for the rest???

I can control the speed of the blower, so it isnt the BCM. What is this?
