Hey everyone, Ive got a question. I have the parts together to do an all black swap. So I removed my headliner last night so that I could recover it black, but I was also planning on removing the old material so the new material would stick. Well, im not sure if anyone has tried this on a Sable/Taurus headliner, but the shell is made of really flaky fiberglass. Anyway, getting to the point, after trying to remove the old foam, the fiberglass was gouged up a lot and i was afraid to just recover it. Well, i was gonna give that a try but a guy at work offered to try to spray some rhino liner on it, i thought that would fill in some of the gouges in it, and also offer some sound deadening... well that worked okay, but it still looks like crap, and from all the handling, i think the shell is too weak/heavy to go back up. Anyway, does anyone know if there is a way to make a new headliner or if maybe a gen1 headliner, without a sunroof, would that work? If anyone in the florida area may have a headliner they might be selling or whatever, please let me know, or if anyone has some advice.
THANKS A LOT!
