Are there headers available for our car? I'm coming from SBC world, where there are tons of options shorties, mid-tubes, long-tubes (most effective at scavenging), and options for dual exhausts...

Do a lot of people get a muffler shop to fab up a dual exhaust system? How much does something like that run, and are there any documented dyno gains? There doesn't seem to be many options for these cars, and I'm wondering why this is...I would imagine there would be a good market for all these types of modifications.

To date there has been one set of headers made, now owned by FPS and two cars with true duals. Headers were created for Randy Mercante for use with duals and Jim something from out west. Jim has not been heard from for years! like 5 or so and Dougs car w/headers never made another convention so the whereabouts is unknown presently.

Dougs car was a slug at the convention but sounded great! the concensus has it that that open of an exhaust will hurt performance, but untill dyno proof is given its all in the air.

Do what you like.

Of course there is a ton of aftermarket parts for the SBC with well over a million made. The SHO V8 production is .01% of the number of SBC. Numbers and money rules in the aftermarket place. If you really want a set of headers, JBA in San Deigo can make you a set for $1000, at least that is what they charged for a set V6 Headers in 1996. An exhaust shop can custom make you the rest of the exhaust.

Wow I didn't realize there were no consistant options for headers, even the shorty kind, which are usually more popular than long tubes, and are known to be versatile, because of the decreased volume yet increased flow potential.
