Head/Tail Light Tint vs VHT Nite shades Paint

Hey Guys... I have a question for ya... I Want to get my headlights and taillights tinted smoke... I have been looking around online and found special tint for outside lights and then this VHT NITE-SHADES™ and VHT QUICK COAT™ CLEAR COAT on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VHT-...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
I am wondering if anyone has used this spray on tint and how it works??? I called a couple of repuatable tinting shops and they wanna charge 50 /set to tint, plus I have to remove them... no problem for the backs, but the fronts need major surgery to get off... so if anyone has any comments/ideas.. please post them!!!!!

DONT do the NiteShades spray on stuff. Do you know what the cost is on these headlights?? ALOT!! The tint you can remove, the paint, not so much. I tinted my old '92 tails and it looked good, but I tinted the 2010s with a film that is easliy removable and will not mess up the thousand dollar headlights. I use my high beams up front all the time now and no one ever flashes me back. & it looks great in the day time.

Makes sense. Film is easily removed/reversed. I can well imagine how much new h/lights would be.

I think mine came from Rvinyl.com if memory serves correctly.

You can buy the thicker material that is pre cut and a diy application. It goes by many different names, but most use 3m material. Can I ask why you want to tint items that help you see at night, and help other drivers see you? I just don't see the fascination in tinting lights.

I tinted mine to make my car different from the guy near me. Plus, it looks killer from the front of the car. Like I said, i use the high beams with no ill effects from other drivers. It looks like my car has the low beams on and my view is great in front of me.

That just shows how much the tint is killing the light if you aren't getting flashed from the high beams.
