I am planning on doing a full 60K maintanance and overhaul on my 3.0 The car has 175k miles on it. Should I replace the head gaskets or should i leave good enough alone? I plan on dooing ALL other 60k maintanance but was wondering if the head gaskets were something people normaly replace.

Also was wondering about where everyone gets there parts. Im from CT so i was thinking about going with bittersweetsho. Or a local parts store. Any suggestions?

You do not normally replace the head gaskets during a 60k service. At 175k however, if you haven't done the rod bearings, I highly recommend it.

I did the bearings about 5k miles ago when I replaced the clutch. The tranny unfortunetly went only 5k miles after replacing everything. Im going to pull the motor and tranny do a full 60k and put a new tranny with rod shifter into the car.

Another question, Is it possible to actually pull the motor and tranny from the top with out removing the subframe??
