Sometimes when ill be driving at lower speeds, ill try to pull the shifter down to second. I dont hear any noises, it just wont go into second. Ill have to let up on the shifter and try again. It doesnt really feel like its the tranny, it just doesnt feel like it wants to go into second. If i do it when the car is sitting still it'll go into any gear smooth as silk. Its only second, ive rarley have problems with 4th but it has happened. I have the rod shifter conversion done. Any ideas?

i dont know what kind of shape your trans. is in. or how often your speed shift it if at all. but if it doesnt want to stay in gear that could be your gears ground down.

engine mounts or subframe mounts?

I know my shifting became sooooooo much easier with a full set of Kirk'd mounts and my AL SFB's. I have trouble when it's coooold getting it to second, but I get the distinct grind of the blocking rings and what not, then I clutch again and it goes right in.

sounds more like somehting is not right on in the tranny, or your engine/subframe are shifting around on you alot.
