I believe that is correct for the SHO too, but I had my oil changed after 5K miles (I bought it second hand in February) and I guess it depends how you drive your car... My oil was dark and would not have been nice to look at if I had been waiting until 10K miles... I know I will be changing the oil every 5K miles... Very cheap way to keep all clean, only 60$ a year more, the price of a full tank (for you my friends American, because here in Quebec it cost me 90$.. esp. that I put 94 octane!).

Great vids! Who would guess we'd get durability, too?

What do you think of "point one two" crank end float?

actually in one of the other video under truth about trucks, the ease of ownership video say it pretty plain 87 octane..., i really think it is all the same as the f-150 on the SHO. which really is playing to my lazy side right now... ;)

end float is the amount lateral movement of the crank against the thrust bearing. Why they decided to only check this one spec, I have no idea. But as mentioned in vid that they normal spend hours tearing down and measuring every part.

The car monitors the oil usage and gives a % in the cluster in the info section. I switched mine from 100% down to 60% so I change it earlier than recommended. 10,000 is way to long for oil IMO.

I change early too. Figure it's worth the investment and will help prevent that ugly crud buildup on the intake valves that's inherently bad on direct injection.

Did anyone else see the dyno numbers in the Teardown Episode?
At 37 seconds in, at 2500 rpm, it's making 432lb/ft torque.
And at 39 secs in, 5000rpm, making 401lb/ft torque and 382 HP.
Pretty good for after the equivalent of 150k miles.
Wish our trannies were built to handle the extra torque of the F150 version...
