have a motor on the floor

I have no idea what it is, I am looking for markings on the engine. I know it is a Ford V6 SHO. I don't know the year or if it's a 3L or 3.2L. The engine is seized up tighter than a drum. Rebuild? Or to replace, what do I look for to find out which SHO motor this is? Engine harness is completely removed from the motor, so I will need an electrical schematic, etc. I do not know what this motor is specifically though. Year, size etc. It has lots of components that are usable so I would like to find another identical motor to work with.

If the coil pack sits level, it is a 3.0.
If the coil pack is tilted down towards the front of the car, it is a 3.2.

If it has 2 accessory belts, it is a 3.0
If it has 1 serpentine belt, it is a 3.2

did the 3L and the 3.2L both have automatic transmission? is there a way I can figure out the year. Likely the 3 since it does have two belts. it doesn't have the cam cover so I can see the cam belt, it has a serpentine belt for the water pump and the power steering to the crankpulley but the alternator appears to be run off another belt. Thanks for the response and the help, I just got this yesterday and didn't even know what kind of engine it was, the guy that gave it to me didn't either.

I am looking for another motor from a wrecker, but i need to know if it will work with the harness and the transmission that i have.

yes, it will work with the trans and harness you have, since the bell housing was identical and all the 3.2s were machined to accept 3.0 accessories.

only the 3.2 was hooked to the auto trans. only the 3.0 had two accessory belts.

the front head was a little different on the 3.2, so if you get one of those it will need modified so the 3.0 accessories can attach to it.

So if I understand correctly I have a three liter SHO with an auto transmission. So I should stick with the 3 liter as to avoid modifications required if I were to obtain a 3.2 liter. That's good because the 3.o is a cheaper engine to obtain from what I have gathered so far.

All Automatic transmission cars originally came with a 3.2. No automatic cars came with a 3.0
They started selling automatic cars in 93 and finished in 95.
The standard transmission cars started in 89 and finished in 95.

There is a slight difference in where the DIS unit is located on the intake cross tube between the automatic and standard cars.
Automatic cars had an EGR valve on the intake, and most standard cars did not, but California emissions muddied the water on that one.

Neither motor is very expensive to buy as there is no demand. The motors far outlast the car itself and either transmission.
