has anyone put SLO fenders and corner lights on a gen 2 for a different look?

i think they would look badass and a lot more aggressive......... just a thought for all these guys talking about changing headlights around

They should fit. At the most you would have to move some of the cladding brackets over to the SLO fender. You will also loose the cornering lights.

Couple things to consider is if the SHO headlights are tall enough/too tall for the SLO corner lights. Also, how the SLO fender meets the SHO bumper, which doesn't seem like a big deal.

It's an interesting idea, but I still like the SHO fender better.

A SHO fender is a Sable fender. Only diff between Taurus & Sable fenders on gen2's are the longer sidelight on Sables for the corning light. You could then add a gen1 corning light to the gen2 bumper! Gen1 sable fenders have a corning light in them but they removed the body line!

Does this hold true for Gen1s? I need to replace the PAX fender on 91. I assumed it was a Taurus one, but have not picked one up from a junk yard yet.

Any idea how hard they are to swap?

Thanks

Beat me to it...there's nothing special about SHO fenders.

And they're not hard to swap...just lots of bolts here and there. Getting the alignment perfect is a little tricky, but doable.

Nope. On 1st gens the SHO fenders are Taurus fenders. Sable ones will fit but they don't have the belt line body crease and the corner lights are different.
