I have a 2012 SHO with 18,100 miles , when driving at a steady speed ( 50 or 60 MPH ) sometimes motor will drop to idle (while my foot is on the gas ) and when I push harder on the gas peddle nothing happens for a minute or two then it speeds up ? Car was at my Ford dealer for 3 days, they could find nothing that would cause that issue . Driving home tonight it happen again . Has anyone experienced this ? I'm new to the forum .
Thanks so much .

I had a similar issue and it was my knock sensor wires. My car is a 2010 and at some point mid year Ford moved those wires and shouldn't be an issue for your 2012. Not sure what it could be.

TSB for a transmission range sensor. Mine did it when I first got it....that is what they replaced....

My 2013 sometimes does this.....6th gear drops it to a pretty low rpm, and when you push the gas down there is hesitation before anything happens. And I don't mean like a miss....nothing happens. A preemptive shift to Sport mode or what would be M on your shifter helps wake it up. I don't know about the 10 thru 12's but Sport mode is absolutely amazing in the 2013's. I swear it reads my mind sometimes...

Mine did something similar a couple times and also my rear sunshade went down when it happened. Dealer couldn't find anything until I caught the PRNDM light on the dash going nuts when it happened. Mentioned that to them and they found that the range sensor was out of spec. But I've got a 2010 - I would have thought they fixed it by now.

If/when it happens watch the dash and see if the PRNDM lights go crazy.

Thanks everyone , it happens in 6th gear at a steady speed of 50 to 55 MPH.It has not happen for week now , maybe dealer tinkering with it helped ? I'll see what happens after a few more weeks .
