A few days ago i was sitting in traffic on the highway when my car boiled over. I pulled over and let it cool down so that i could add some extra coolant in. I drove it about 5 miles to the nearest gas station where i filled it up completely and drove it home. Ever since then, I noticed that i was running hot no matter how i drove the car. In fact, as i drove down the highway at 75 mph, i had to turn the heater on in order for the car to cool. I replaced the thermostat while the radiator and pump have less then 10k on them. I flushed the coolant yesterday and it is still running fairly hot. Not overheating, but abnormally hot.

Since then, i have noticed that when i have driven my car enough for it to warm up, it has a hard time starting again. I have to press the gas at least 25% for it to start and then it idles around 2700 until i rev it again... I have remembered reading about a similar problem somewhere a while back but i do not remember what went wrong. Anyone have advice? A friend of mine suggested that i may have a head gasket leak which is causing some of my problems. However, i have not had to add coolant since then and my oil has no seperation or color distortion.

Please reply with anything soon... I need to drive up to Columbia, MO tomorrow (2.5 hour drive) and i dont wanna take any chances.
