Hard starting. when started no tach!

Ok this happened today the red 95 has been driving great! Ever since my crank cancer problem. But lately i have had a CEL coming on for a few secs then going off.. I haven't been looking at the tach at the time. so i don't know if it has been cutting out on me.. (but when it happens i don't notice any drop) Well today i got up early and i went to a few places when i went to go to work and start it up. I turn it over well i'm turning, turning, turning.. nothing. I stop and then try it again, Well it fires right up but the CEL stays on and there is no Tach. So i'm like well crap.. I don't even bother trying to drive it to work when i have the silver bullet sitting in the garage ready to go (the silver 93) I haven't checked any codes or any thing yet. waking up early thursday to play with it before i go to work. But what do you guys think it is. I think it is the CID... But i was just wanting to get your guys input before i rip in to her Thursday morning... :thumb:

I am inclined to say the CID as well, but run your codes before replacing parts.

Ok well i go out this morning to run the codes and it is cold out side so. I let her warm up. well she fires right up. and every thing is cool. I let her warm up for a few. And i run the codes. (Have to listen to the darn beeps and lights suck lol) Well i keep on getting code 121, 221, 212 and 214. I'm not 100% that these are right but i ran them like 3 times to make sure i was right. And then i started her up and shut her down a few times to see if i could get my CEL and no tach.. Well what i got this time was werid. It starts up fine and then the CEL starts to flash a few times and then it just jumps up to 1500 RPM and just sits there. And when i went to run the codes i got nothing. just good old 111. lol So i'm very confused..

Edit: O and there is oil in the plug wells too.. Just thought i would throw that in there also. I know i know i need to do a valve cover and plug well gaskets bad...

Defanitly your CID or as i call it the Cam shaft position sensor. Its an easy part to replace. Auto zone didnt have one so they had to order it, i think it was around 40 or 50 bucks. its just 2 screws and a wire harness. Dont get it confused with the Crank shaft position sensor as I did.
