I have a 93 ATX, yeah I know.....ATX  ...and its a 93, and I read that trying a 94 or 95 computer would help the shifting, you guys think that's a good idea? and also, do you think maybe that the hard shifting could be cause from a broken motor mount possibly?

It could very well be a broken motor mount. I have a 94ATX and the only time I've ever wanted a MTX is when the tranny shop said thats gonna run you 2510.00 to fix do you want us to fix it. I called the shoshop and said how hard is it to chage from an ATX to MTX. The guy said its cheaper to buy a new car. The ATX is known for its hard shifting and there are several ways to reduce it but I don't know of any to totally eliminate it. One thing that can cause some hard shifting is driving habits. I can cause mine to nearly leap off the ground if I want to (not recommeded), there are different shift kits, and possibly just having the tranny serviced and I do believe tranny shops can adjust some internal parts to help (at least thats what they told me). Good luck and please let us all know what you find out if you get it fixed cause this topic pops up atleast once a week.
