Well I have been working on SHOFUN2 since about 4 pm and just decided to call her a night. I have the valve covers and plugs/wires swapped out, changed to a 180 degree t stat, pulled the timing covers and painted them black (they are drying overnight) and have the runners all port matched to the intake.
I was about to start to dremel the "lips" on the inside of the hoses that connect the runners to the endtanks but thought better of it...a project best reserved for 8 a.m.
Tomorrow, I will start by reinsalling the timing covers and getting after the cold air intake assembly after installing the shiny UDPs. Hope everything makes it on time! WOW Kirk's BBBs are awesome and came in the mail today just in the nick of time!
Surprisingly the gasket set from RCM really didn't need much grinding as did the intake runners on the heads. Just the secondary runners needed some attention due to the fact the EH intake had some size differences there....
Well I will keep you guys posted as we countdown to the run! Dyno time to come Weds! We shall see what the increases are! :****:
