This one sucks, here in iowa we got hammered last week by hail and tornadoes and whatnot, and my car needs some work done(couldnt get out of school early enuf to get it in the garage!!!ooooo they got a good fist shaking!)....whats the best way to get small/moderate sized hail damage out....i tried the blowdryer and icecube trick and it go the small ones out....now what about the ones that went mediocre to small and from large to mediocre???? it doesnt look beautiful anymore  anyone got anything for me to try???????dont wanna take it to any body shops around here....they all screw everything up.

That sucks to hear, same thing happened to me last summer (see sig). I had moderate hail damage all over and the SHO got totaled by my insurance. I ended up buying it back. I ended up with a check for 3200cdn when it was all done. It is going to cost a lot more than that to get it fixed right. Just look at the bright side though, you might as well get a fiberglass hood, and tons of body work done, that you wouldn't have done otherwise.

the insurance thing wont work for me....i got it estimated and ya, its totalled  !!! Insurance said they would total it, yet id only get like 2 grand....and my car is worth much more than that to me, and a lot of other people.....its a 94 with 135 thousand, WORTH MORE THAN 2 GRAND! so im thinkin of keepin it as project car(daily driver), but if anyone has any other ideas, for the ones on the hood, there isnt any dents anywhere else now, the tips would be greatly appreciated! i've been doin a whole lot of fist shaking this week!!!

Last night I had to work security at a special 2 week site for State Farm Insurance just do to all the hail damage claim. Good luck, quite a few cars were getting totaled out due to thier age and mileage!

Uhm, sorry to rock your boat but a '94 SHO ATX, w/~140k on the odo isn't gonna fetch much more. Granted the car may mean a ton more to you than a measly 2k, take for instance my car '95 ATX w/160k, prolly not worth more than around that same area (but I wouldn't sell it for the world). Yes, these cars are worth a lot more with their individual owner, but in the real world arn't gonna fetch a large chunk of change unless you have got real low mileage, or you have modded the crap out of it.

This may seem cheesy, but I've actually seen it done in person, and saw for myself that it does in fact work. I doubt it would pull out a fender bender type dent, but the hail/ door-ding type that I witnessed worked well.

Ding-King is similar, and for a while Sears sold Ding-King kits. Not sure whether they still do, but might be worth a shot. Elsewise you might try one of the paintless dent repair places (kind of a Kreskin thing where they rub it with special massage spoons and saliva from endangered whales, or something like that, until the dent comes out).
