I have stains all over my car anybody know of a cleaner to take it off. I washed my car and scrubbed it good and no signs of the stuff coming off. Also tried wax and nothing. I hope it didn't eat through my clear coat.

You could try a product like Tarminator or Tar-X to remove any organic matter stuck to the paint/plastic on the exterior. Follow the directions provided with the products.

For bird droppings, I read on autogeek (?) that you should rehydrate thoroughly and then wipe off with a soft microfiber cloth. Powerwashing works too, but it can be a bit messy :)

You could also try Optimum Mineral Deposits Remover (MDR). It is supposed to work well for water-based stains. I've not tried it yet (but do have some on order). I have tried the Tar-X for road tar and it worked really well. I'm not sure how well it would work for gypsy moth stains as I'm not sure what they are primarily composed of.

Are you sure the stains are from moths and not just water spots?
