A set of brand new tokicos on amazon for the rear of my Taurus! They are sitting in my livingroom now Waiting on the springs to arrive from sho source. Once that's done to decide on a front strut for the B&G springs and a near full interior swap for February. Waiting on rod bearing from rcm automotive too.

Will do. That was the last set of rears they had. I may end up pairing them with something else but I am searching.

So after 7 working hours in one day I managed to manhandle in one long body tokico strut and B &G spring with all new hardware. I felt like I had climbed mount Everest. I put it all back together and took it for a drive just to make sure nothing was amiss and it was safe to drive to work yesterday morning. I was amazed even even though only one strut had been put in the difference it made! Left the car on to shine the light to pick up my tools and as I am almost finished water starts pouring into the ground from my radiator lmao. I was upset but now I have an excuse to replace the cooling system in its entirety. Thanks SHO forum. I understand why Ford techs the world over ran from these for years lol

You have power tools? I don't have an air compressor but the electric impact wrench I bought really speed things up. Not as good as air but good enough for 95% of fasteners. Even most suspension parts.

Just some regular hand tools. It definitely was a long day but I'm learning things. Of course today I fill it up with coolant and of course no leaks. I was considering the dual core radiator. Does anyone have experience with how much of a pain this may be and did you have to move the coolant reservoir and where to? I will get the other side done my next days off as lame as that may be.

Rads are fairly inexpensive, but your issue is the clenching of the plastic end tanks onto the aluminum core fins. There is a gasket in the sandwich construction, and you can re-clinch the end tanks to ensure the gasket is doing its job again. There are threads on this forum that show you how to do this with vice-grips.
This issue shows up in the cold weather.
If you do buy a new one, don't toss the old one, as you can do this at your leisure and have a spare.

Ah ha! I had no idea. I love learning new things. My radiator was suspect when I acquired the car. Very very corroded. But I will definitely search for that thread and see about that. I was trying to find a radiator wih aluminum tanks but haven't had any luck so far.

As far as struts for the SHO your options are pretty limited. There are Monroe's, KYBs, Konis (if you can find them), and Tokicos which are no longer in production. Finding a set wasn't easy and I wanted something of reasonable quality. I am really trying to bring my car back to life and make it as nice as I know that it once was. Plus I avoid tons of labor charges and donate lots of blood :).

In case anyone was wondering, the rear end of my sho has now been rebuilt. All except for control arms. The b&G springs and the tokicos pair well with the adjustable end links. I definitely have far less body roll and much more response and snap in the steering. It also definitely makes the front end weakness much more apparent. I still have the front end to rebuild and the subframe bushings to replace and we will decide where to go from there. I've learned a lot since acquiring this car and feel so much more confident in doing my own repairs. There is much left to do but by the time it's all over I will have one **** of a car and I will have done most all of the work myself. Thanks ShoForum.

Lmao! I actually got them this week. I have a living room full of interior pieces to put in as well. Windows that will hardly stay up because of drilled out pop rivets in the regulators. Just a whole lot of moving and shaking going on lol. My vacation is at the end of the month and after this next week I'll be working 30 min closer to home so if the SHO sits halfway together for a few days its totally OK.
