Gritty sound after 3000rpms

Whenever i push my car over 3000 rpms in all my geras except 5th the engine makes this like gritty sounding noise and is loud. i can hear the air getting sucked in is this normal is there sumthing i can do to like get a K&N filter or sumthing thanks jason

Does it kinda sound like a turbo? My car sounds like a turbo somewhat but only in third gear after 3K rpm's. I don't think its anything major.
