Thanks

No I left everything on. Just spray it thick enough so it will peel off of the areas you dont want it on. It cuts its own edge as you peel it so the lines are perfect. I did tape and used paper to cover some areas to help with some overspray but you want it to overlap the chrome so you have a peeling point to get the edge to cut right.

Any prep before spraying? If I do this on some exterior parts how long until I can drive without worrying too much?

I just made sure it was all clean. No special prep. 10-15 mins between coats. 4- 5 coats 1 hour dry time on last coat before peeling. That's how I did it and it worked out fine.

I have seen somewhere, can't remember where now, a grill that looks like the Aston Martin grill. Anyone know where I might get one of these to fit my 2010 SHO?

Love the plastidip results. Last pict-wow those wheels are bright. Have you thought about doing them? Along with fender SHO inserts. I really like the look. Cheaper than paint and it will come off easily if you ever want to go back.

So, you are saying to not mask right up to the chrome? Rather leave some room for over spray and peel it off with a finger nail? And you get a clean edge?

Yes. The heavier the over spray the easier it is to peel off and get the line to cut.

Just did my grill like DrSHO. It makes all the difference in the way it looks. Small things like this make it look great. Found plastidip on the shelve at Home Depot. Appears to be holding up very well through carwashs and pressure washings for bugs.
