Hi everyone, it's great to be here. I've been a fan of the Gen3 SHO ever since I was a teenager. My first car was an 88 brown Taurus GL and I loved that thing. Hooking up a subwoofer as many irresponsible teenagers do was a blast ;-) it got me through highschool and a bit of college with plenty of room for friends to ride.

I missed my chance to get a gen3 in the late 2000s when life became busy and pragmatism was the focus; I ended up getting a 2004 SES at the time in 2005 since a rental car place had really good warranties on them. We got that 2004 SES back then with 29k on it and kept it until early 2019 with 154k, when we made the move to a minivan as the main family car.

I'm now at the life stage where I'd like to find a Gen3 in good condition, which is why I've joined this forum. My daily driver for the past 5 years has been a base model gen 8 honda civic. Even though it's been 15years, it seems like every once in a while an enthusiast will pop back up with a gen3 SHO to sell that has been babied and possibly even had its cams welded!

Welcome! I'm sure that you have already found the Gen 3 sections here in the Forum. Good luck with your search!

Yep I saw that one. The car looks immaculate but a salvage is essentially a non-starter for me as I would need to have it towed back to Seattle. Rebuilt title would be fine but I wonder why someone wouldn't have applied for an inspection to get a rebuilt-certification after going through all that trouble to keep it looking so immaculate...it makes me suspect there's a significant deeper issue there.
