Hey everybody!

I am new to the forum, thank you Shaggy for the welcome.

I do not currently have and have never had an SHO, but I’ve always thought they were neat cars and I’m going to start looking for one.

I’m somewhat of a collector so every now and again I get the urge to change up a few slots in the stable.

I always thought that the original Tauruses were interesting and I remember how groundbreaking the styling was at the time.

My grandmother liked it so much she ordered one after seeing it in a magazine, and then drove them exclusively the rest of her life. (86,90,99,04)

In any case, I look forward to interacting with you all and if anybody can throw me some tips for a first timer on the hunt it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bob

Welcome Bob! Your grandmother sounds very cool! Good luck in your search. You will find the forum full of helpful ideas and opinions. To PP or not to PP, for example. What do you have in your stable currently? Any pics?

Thanks! She was indeed.

Haha, a few.

At the moment:

1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate
1997 Lincoln Town Car signature
2003 Lincoln Aviator AWD
1985 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham
1988 Olds Delta 88, (but looking for a Touring Sedan)
1992 Cadillac Coupe Deville
2002 Cadillac DHS
1994 Chevy Suburban K1500
1985 VW Vanagon GL

and I recently sold my 1992 Mercedes 400e, and my 1988 Ford LTD Crown Victoria.

So the Ford and Mercedes spots are empty and must be filled! lol

Wow that's a stable full of good ole American land yachts, and the Vanagons have quite a following. Some were featured on a recent (or rerun) of Jay Leno's Garage. Have fun filling the empty slots at the yacht club. What else do you have in mind for the other slot? Thought about a nice 2003 or 2004 Mercury Marauder?

Welcome, and nice rides. My almost first car ( long story) Was a ‘89 Town Car. Loved it! Drove the wheels off for almost a decade. They really were great cars. Once, I got the comment, how can you drive this thing like a Porsche!? I took it as a compliment. Anyway, good luck with the hunt.
