So, I'm on my way to work this morning driving like an old lady. I accel from a stop light, shift into 3rd gear when, BOOM!!! I look down and notice the speedo is dead and the trans has come out of gear. I place the shifter back in 3rd gear, let out the clutch and hear the tell tail sign of a ventelated transmission!:banghd: However, she did get me to work, on time and seemed to be shifting great considering there is a 3" hole in the case and no fluid!

The rotten thing is I just replaced the clutch and numerous other parts ($1100.00) less than 2 months ago and just ordered all of my suspension ($850.00) on Saturday!

NOW WHAT?!?

Now you buy a transmission from Bizzy. Being in the transmission business, I can appreciate a good unit. I had one of her reinforced transmissions in my 93, that was quite a bolt on car.

Worked perfect. Sorry to hear about it, but think of it as an upgrade.

it is amazing on how well they work without any fluid and a hole in the case. my 93 sho i bought it and drove it home (40-45 miles home) without a pin and no fluid until I jacked it up at home to do some looking and I found a sweet little hole in the bottom of the tranny....I bet you can guess the next word that came out of my mouth.
Sorry about your car. Make sure you weld some reinforcements on your new one. iam regretting not doing anything to mine when I had mine apart

If you do get a replacement and it's not from bizzy, I would at the very least shot peen everything inside, and get the diff pins welded in place. Must be nice not having to have fluid! lol ATXs don't work *quite* as well.

I'm thinking she is going on the injured reserve for now! At this point I am waiting on large sum of money from an estate that I was named in. At that point I will most likely get a 97 SS F-body and put the SHO back together as a father/son job!
