Who's SHO Daddy
After driving for just a short period of time, my CEL displays and continues to do so until I turn the car off. It does disappear when I start the car back up. Only on the rare occasion when I'm driving up a hill from a stop does the car feel like it is bogging down and sluggish in getting up to speed. I just performed an EEC test a few minutes ago.
Here are the codes:
ON:
136: HEGO Sensor indicates lean condition, cylinder bank #2 (1991 on)
538: Operator error during test (need to re-run the test)
OFF:
111: We have 6 cylinders
176: HEGO Sensor indicates lean condition, cylinder bank #2 (1990 on)
542: Fuel Pump circuit open, ECA to pump motor ground (1990 on)
My father and I are thinking that the fuel pump may be failing or is on its way out. Also, could an O-2 sensor be causing the lean condition in the cylinder bank?
Any help and/or suggestions with fixing these problems is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Mike
