hey guys,

i had 2 simple qstns ?? for my 93 mtx SHO..

1-. why doesnt the car has a passanger airbag ( my 92 ( older than 93) had one and can i be able if replacing the dash with a airbag feautured dash to be working)

and

2-. how much could my sho with 107xxx could put oiut like mile per gallon..
cause i fill it up and with the first half of it i get 200 highway and i cruise set it i get 215-230.. and the other half of tank i get around 110-130 so is it a good economy thingy or not..

thanks

1. some came with the airbag and some didnt... mine has one, but my buddies gen II doesnt have one his is 93' like yours too

2. i expect atleast 20mpg... that is to take into account "less than responsible driving" once in a while also the gauges are notoriously inaccurate... so using mileage and percentage sweeps of the gauge isnt the best way... but if youre getting 350 miles per tank i envy you... i just have to fix my rear caliper that is sticking... 16mpg sucks

I get a solid 24 mpg in my 93 mtx and thats beating on it a little. I have a few 7500 rpms shifts and usually shift at 4500 rpms because i like to hear the secondaries open:biggrin: I v gotten as good as 27 mpg all highway doing 65:thumb:

Edit: Dantheman is right some cars did not have the airbag because it was an option.

Passenger airbags were optional from '92 until '94 when they became standard.

A good running V6 SHO should easily see 22-24mpg highway, and 18-20mpg city driving, and even 1-2mpg more for an MTX.

I did get 28 MPG once on a 300miles trip. That was a 75+ all the way and about 6 minutes of 110mph, following a random bmw. That was 99.7% highway running on 91 octane gas.
