Update, the 4060455 belt fits my 95 mtx perfectly, no noise, no slippage. So there are two different alternator belts for the MTX SHOs. early 4060445 and late (94-95) 4060455.

Yep.

This has been known for 8 or 9 years now.

That's why it's always best to shop by PART NUMBER and not by year/make/model. That eliminates computer problems from the equation altogether. If the counter monkey refuses to sell you a part without looking it up by y/m/m then just go to another store. Almost every part number you can want or need for these cars can be found via a search of the forum.

Oh, and thread closed for bringing a nearly 7-year old thread back to life. It's been said countless times -- rather than bring an old thread back to life, just start a new one. If you want to link to the old thread for reference that's fine.
