My summer tires are the Conti DW. Smooth, quiet, stick like glue and great in rain. Since I have winter wheels and snow tires I opted not to go with the DWS.

Ditto for me because Blizzaks for the winter. Also, I found the DW to be the longest lasting tire I have tried. Another plus.

Same with me on the Blizzaks. I’ve had 6 seasons on them and will need to replace them for this winter.

Zeros are getting worn and I'm looking at getting the Conti DWS 06 all seasons and not running separate snows/rims. Is there an optimal size that is recommended for the 20 rims?

I would step up to a 255 instead of a 245 if you have stock rims. They are usually cheaper as well.

Right now I’m running BF Goodrich g-force comp 2 255/40/20 and I’m happy with the performance. They might not be all season tires but I’m in the Texas hill country and don’t have to worry about snow. We have a lot of hilly and curvy roads and theses tires handle it very well.
I have the same tires. I like them. Good in wet and dry conditions.

The only knock on them is tread wear but you should expect that in in a high performance summer tire. I’ll be looking for a new set in about 5-10k miles and I might get the same unless I can find something else with AA traction and at least 400 tread wear. I know a lot of people people swear by the conti DWS 06 but I don’t get snow and I have a set of Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ for winter months. Looking for American made if possible, any suggestions would be helpful.

I have Michelin Crossclimates on my SHO. Good traction on wet roads and snow.

My fav that are inexpensive and compete with the big boys, General GMAX RS, made in Germany, AA A ...great light summer tire, no hum, great in rain, stick like glue and half gone with 20,000 HARD DD driving. Rotate every oil change. Simple tire online....has free shipping too or Walmart online, very happy...another great inexpensive tire Cooper Zeon in summer version. Excellent would buy either again when needed....

Was speaking with my tire guy who stated the Conti DWS were really a 3 season tire and he doesn't recommend them for snow or ice although rated for it.

We don't get a ton of snow here but to get to my office there is a really steep hill. Most mornings in December to February its icy in the early morning.

In general have you guys found the Awd and Conti's on ice are adequate in icy or near ice conditions? I just hate running snow tires on rims like i have for the past 2 years...would love to see my flowers year around.

The DWS's served me quite well here in the snowy/icy streets of Chicago. Dutifully well actually.

I'm only running the Nitto's now since my SHO is no longer a DD, and nor does it see any winter usage any more as well.

Contis served me well through two St. Louis winters. It's not Chicago winter down here, but we see our share of snow and ice.

No garage queen after the rebuild. Ugh. I miss piloting her. Very much so.
