The temps in Vegas are pretty high now and my overheating issue remains. I recently completed my front end 60k maintenance including a new water pump. I also replaced the thermostat, temp sender, and ect sensor with Ford parts.

The overheating is not as bad now though. The temperature slowly climbs to above the "N" in normal. It even happened on the interstate with the a/c off. The radiator pressure tested fine and the fan runs fine.

So, I think the problem may be an obstructed radiator. It seems more economical to buy a new radiator than to have the old one worked on, which brings me to my question about the Go-Dan options at Autozone and Checker. Both places offer both single and two row units. Each store also insisted that the two row is a direct replacement without mods, but I've read otherwise here. Is this p/n 433891 two row a new design?

I know most of you say the single row is adequate, but it does get extremely hot in these parts. Open to all input. Thanks.

the 2 row for the regualr taurus will not fit. the filler neck(the last I checked) is a little different. Also the overflow bottle will not mount in the correct place becasue of the thicker radiator(if this is a 5 speed)

umm someone near me that makes 60k videos was telling me that the Go Dan 2 row will fit. He didn't go into details, but I was inquiring about putting one in my 94 MTX.

The one I gave a number for is for the SHO 3.0L. I didn't think to ask the guys at Autozone or Checker if it is the same as the regular Taurus. They claim it fits right in like an oem unit. If I have to modify the car to get it in, I won't buy that unit.

I have the GDI single row radiator in my car and have no problems with temperature control even in the comparable heat of Texas (even when pulling a 3,000 pound boat). You may want to search in this topic or the performance section on the 2-row fitment considerations. Modifications were required, I believe.

Thanks. I did several searches and read about the alterations required. When the auto stores told me the two row was a direct replacement, I wondered if it was a new design. Anyway that's why I wanted to check here first. I'll try the single row GDI then. I hope a new radiator is the final answer. At least the new parts I installed helped out quite a bit.
