Yea, thanks Chris for hosting! It was perfect weather and cool seeing some old faces again. Glad everyone made it home safe too. I got back at about 12:30am and was happy to keep my ~26mpg avg until I got back in town

Back in Michigan ... again.
Thank YOU to everyone who braved 4.08/gallon gas for a trip north! Nice to play the host, and we even got a little bit of the fire to enjoy.

Next up... fall color tour with a stop at Frankenmuth for chicken!

$4.08?! I wish. I paid $4.35 for premium in the Mustang :nut: LOL. Although, it can run on regular, you lose about 10hp and what's the point of driving a pony car without all of its ponies? :bonk:

I'm licking my lips for that chicken already! :p

I may do a few days up north in about a month, no definite plans yet other than chicken, fudge, and pasties.

I am very late in responding but THANK YOU! to Chris and Michelle for your hospitality and generosity as always. It was good seeing some of the "old" crew I haven't seen in awhile. It was also funny that there were only 1.5 SHO's at a SHO meet. Thanks to some of that $4.23 premium Michigan fuel, the GTS recorded it's best MPG average of 28 on the way home with the cruise set at 75.

Is there specific time frame? I'm absolutely serious about a color tour through the tunnel of trees. Perhaps I'll start another thread, see if anyone else is interested

Nothing specific planned yet. Most likely it will be a "hey, lets turn here" trip. The Wilderness area has a dark sky program of sorts, it may be one of our stops. Helpful Hint: it gets cold at night and laying on the ground ain't easy. I'll keep an eye on your thread.

d'ya think a six pak of Yooper beer would be enough to lure a few SHOs to da U P ?
