Getting the drivers door lock out

idunno, but let me know when you figure it out; I gotta do the same thing on my wife's door!

...you are talking about the solenoid in the aft bottom of the door, right?

You have to remove the exterior door lock and the latch actuator (electric door lock actuator inside the door), as their actuator rods limit moving the door latch up/down. You then unlock the plastic retaining tabs that hold the actuator rods for the exterior door handle and interior door handle.

Not fun. Wear long sleeves.

it takes some time, and some weird positioning of your arms inside the door panel. its not too dificult, ive done it 4 times

yeah that's a job for sure, but IIRC last time I did it there is a big clip that holds it on. It's on the side of the door under a little rubber cover, pop that rubber cover off and pry the clip out, that will free the lock from the door itself. I am pretty sure that was for the locking mechanism and not the door handle, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Then the rest was explained above with removing the rods and such.;)
