This is true...I looked on mine and my friends SHO..Both had SLO bumpers underneath the SHO cover.

I felt smart cause there was a BBQ with my local SHO club, and I was able to to point this out to an older member who knows his stuff

-yes Its True For All Gen 2, The Bumper Reinforcement Is A Regular Taurus Bumper . It Has A Place Cut Out At The Top Under The Tag For A Metal Strip That Is Mounted To It To Retain The Push Pins That Hold The Cover On At The Top. Also If You Look Where The Exhaust Comes Down Under It, There Is A Place On Each Side Where The Bottom Corner Was Cut Out To Allow Extra Room For The Tail Pipes To Exit With Out Hitting. They Are Rough Cut Like With A Jigsaw Or Sawsall Like It Was Going Down The Line At The Time. And Oh, My Silver Car Has Blue One. My Old Red One Had A White One...

off of the subject but SHORANGERBIRD, how can you type like that? lol I'm not critisizing just curious to see how you can type and capitalize every word! it would take me like forever to type like that
