I'm having trouble sourcing locally an AC Dryer/Accumulator for my 1993. No one has it or can get it. It's obviously obselete from Ford. Searching onlline it appears that the Motorcraft Part is YF-2759. Can somebody confirm or have a part no. from another manufacturer?

Thanks.

Ha! Found em... $150... but $30 shipping..... lucky for me its local.. I'd copy that number down and see if AZ or Advance or maybe O'reily's can get it for you too.

PN I found was 55642 for an auto.... 55620 is the 5 speed version. :) 55623 is another number... one of the last 2 might be incorrect.... cant say for sure... I pulled mine a long time ago.. :)

It is an MTX. Is "Four Seasons" the manufacturer? Does anybody know if YF-2759 is the Motorcraft Part #?

Thanks to all for the information and help!

I just ordered by phone through Polar Bear as Zak suggested. Gentlemen assured me three times it was for a 1993 3.0 liter MTX. $54.97 without shipping (from Texas).

Local parts stores are crappy sources for our cars, I'm finding out. I usually order from RockAuto online or a specialty store online (like the a/c store mentioned) to find what I need. Alot of these shops just use whatever parts store is close by, and if they're not familiar with these cars, they tend to call 1-3 local places. If they don't have the part, they call you and tell you you're SOL. My brother had issues w/ getting his a/c fixed in his 95. The guy acted like he had to go around the world to find parts and kept insinuating that they were hard or impossible to find, and I had to tell him they are widely available from select sources.

It kind of sucks, when you're in a position where you "need it now" and can't run down to the local parts store and get what you need. In most cases, if they do have it, they have to put an overnight order in and have it delivered from a local hub/distribution store. It's shocking if you can just walk in, ask for a part, and they have it right then and there.

Just to increase the knowledge base on the issue, a Ford dealer has advised the correct Motorcraft Part No. for the 1993 MTX accumulator/dryer and hose is YF-1976. I'd confirm before actually buying one.
