Well it wouldn't be from a Gen II, but a 96 T-bird (bird will get an FR500 wheel). However, a gen II and 96 t-bird wheel are the same.

Anyway, what is required to do the swap?

A Gen II steering wheel should (I am 99% Sure It will fit sense the steering components of the 92 & 93 are the same along with the dash of the T-Brids ever notice that?.)

First off, Go to a local auto parts store and rent a steering wheel puller. Unplug the negative battery cable. Then pull the fuse for the Airbags. (You do not want those puppies going off while trying to dismantle them.) You will need to unscrew the cover over the shaft and unplug the air bag/cruise/horn leads. Carefully remove airbag. Use the Puller to remove the steering wheel. Bolt the new one on and re-connect everything. Whamo you should be done.

Now I have never done this before, but have seen it done on TV so do at your own risk. & Have Fun. :D
